The Fremantle Town Hall restoration project was awarded as the winner of the Conservation of a State Recognised Place Award in the WA Heritage Awards 2018. Atelier JV worked together with Hocking Heritage Studio to remove paint from the stucco walls, reconstruct the slate roofs and refurbish the historic clock. This project was the largest conservation project ever undertaken by the City of Fremantle. The judges commented:

"Supported by a strong team of heritage professionals and skilled heritage tradespeople, the restoration of Fremantle Town Hall has been highly symbolic in the move to rejuvenate Kings Square by conserving and enhancing the history and unique character of Fremantle."
